Contract: 37.5 hours per week (inc. evenings and weekends)
At WEST Youth Zonewe believe all young people in West London should have the opportunity to discover their passion, purpose, and explore where it can take them. We opened our doors in April 2024 and in that time more than 5,000 young people across Hammersmith & Fulham have made this purpose-built space their own. Now we're looking for aPathways & Employability Managerto help them turn ambition into action.
This is a role for someone who lights up in a room full of young people. You'll build the kind of trusted, one-to-one relationships that change how a young person sees themselves and you'll design and lead the workshops, projects and programmes that build their confidence, skills and sense of what's possible. From education to training, employment, and life goals; you'll help young people take the next step towards whatever that looks like for them.
You'll spend at least half your time on session, right where it matters. The rest of the time, you'll be opening doors, building relationships with schools, colleges, community organisations and, alongside our Corporate Partnerships Manager, connecting young people to real employment opportunities with our corporate partners.
You might be our person if you:
- Have delivered activities, programmes or workshops to groups of young people (ages 13β19)
- Know your way around employability, progression or careers work
- Build genuine relationships easily with young people and with external partners, organisations, and stakeholders alike
- Bring energy, flexibility and a real belief in young people's potential
A youth work or relevant professional qualification is a bonus, not a barrier, what matters most is who you are and how you connect.
Why WEST?
- 33 days' leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Birthday leave
- Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
- Genuine training and development opportunities
- A diverse, brilliant team who genuinely share a joint mission: young people first

A few honest details: the role includes frequent evenings and weekends as part of a rota because that's when young people need us most. It's subject to anEnhanced DBS check, and we're wholeheartedly committed to safeguarding.
WEST Youth Zone is proud to be a diverse and inclusive employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
