Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Leeds
Full time permanent – 37 hours
An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.
Within the department, you will be an integral part of an Investigation Team and will be responsible for the submission of complex files to the Crown Prosecution Service and the progression of cases through the criminal justice system.
Candidates require a good working knowledge of the principles of Disclosure (Criminal Procedures Investigation Act 1996) and will be a holder of CILex Certificate of Criminal Justice or equivalent (e.g. ISA portfolio, Law Degree or A Level law). Also be prepared, if not already done so, to complete the CILEX specialist course in disclosure and ISO portfolio.
Candidates are also required to successfully complete other relevant training courses relevant to the role, and have good working knowledge in the use of application of computer systems.
In addition, you must be able work flexibly to suit business needs, be willing and have the ability to travel for business purposes and be willing to work at other sites across the Force area other than your normal place of work as and when required. The role of Investigative Support Officer also requires that candidates have the ability to deal with cases that could be of an explicit or disturbing nature.
The post involves working a shift pattern between 8am and 8pm for which you will receive shift allowance of 12.5% plus weekend enhancements for working 1 weekend in every 4 weeks.
Interview dates – 30 July or 31 July 2025.
As this is a Career Progression Scheme, candidates may be considered to start further along the progression scheme, if they possess the requisite experience and knowledge.
