Overview

For West Yorkshire Police officers, this role will be a permanent posting. For regional based officers who apply from regional forces this role will be for a secondment post and will need SLT approval. West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint Analysts to work in its Protective Services Crime with posts supporting District and NPT analysis of crime and intelligence issues. This job involves gathering and interpreting information to assist Senior Leaders in their decision making. Posts are available in Leeds and Kirklees. Working hours are Monday to Friday with a hybrid model (remote and office-based once fully trained). This is a Career Progression Scheme; progression may start at different points based on experience and knowledge. A detailed description of the Competency and Values levels required is available via the CVF (College of Policing). Responsibilities

  • Gather and interpret information to assist Senior Leaders in decision making.
  • Provide分析 (analytical) insights to support District and Neighbourhood Policing Team analysis of crime and intelligence issues.
  • Present findings to key decision makers in a clear and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with investigators to understand criminal patterns and influence investigative approaches.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to apply analytical techniques (knowledge preferable).
  • Previous experience in a law enforcement role is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to present findings to decision makers.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility regarding location (Leeds or Kirklees) and hybrid working arrangements.
