Contract: 1 permanent post (37 hours a week)

Yorkshire and Humber (YatH) Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS) are looking to recruit a Full Time, Permanent Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) Assistant (Training and Technical) to join the CSI Training team at Wetherby and assist in the provision of an efficient and effective regional CSI training service. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, extremely organised and able to prioritise a varied workload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to the role, and you will have the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners and police personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative and clerical support to CSI training team in the preparation, organisation and delivery of specialised CSI courses
  • Provide administrative support to CSI Technical team ensuring compliance of critical registers
  • Plan, organise and facilitate annual CSI training days
  • Maintain and monitor and update training records for over 170 CSI staff ensuring compliance against the Quality Management System
  • Responsibility of raising debtor requests and maintaining financial records
  • Testing specialised equipment across the region
  • Manage and maintain the Customer Staff Elimination Database
  • Knowledge and ability to create and maintain accurate spreadsheets
  • Has a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

The post is based in the CSI Training Centre at Wetherby Police Station, but the successful applicant will be required to attend at locations around the regional area, West, South, North Yorkshire and Humberside.
