Salary: Scale 4 – £27,204.00 – £29,859.00 plus enhancements.

1 full‑time permanent post – 37 hours per week

West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint three Police Decision Maker Administrators to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to the department in accordance with policy and legislation within the prosecution team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to operational officers and staff in the transmission of case files to CPS.
  • Access, input, track and extract data/information from various Force computer systems, ensuring effective, accurate and timely service delivery in accordance with force policy, procedures and legislation.
Qualifications
  • A basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and good numeracy and literacy skills are desirable.
  • Demonstrated IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), is required.
  • The successful candidate should ideally be able to travel for business purposes and work flexibly to suit team needs.

Successful candidates will be subject to Management Vetting.

Working pattern

Once initial training has been completed, shifts will commence. The shift pattern typically follows a sequence of working 7 days followed by rest days – for example: 4 early shifts, 3 late shifts, 4 rest days; then 3 early shifts, 4 late shifts, 3 rest days – repeating. Work includes weekend and bank holidays. Shift allowance and weekend enhancement are provided as per the published Force pattern.

Benefits
  • Full‑time starting salary of £27,204.00 rising incrementally to £29,859.00 per annum.
  • 14% shift allowance and 13.89% weekend allowance added to the salary.

  • Generous annual leave allowance – 28 days, rising to 32 days after five years of service (plus bank holidays).
