Help Shape the Future of Our People Systems
Are you someone who enjoys working with systems, solving problems, and helping others get the best from technology? Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for data and customer service?
We're looking for two People Systems Specialists to join our team. Whether your experience comes from HR systems, workforce management, data analysis, or a similar systems-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the systems that help our organisation manage and develop its workforce. You'll work closely with colleagues across the force, providing support, maintaining data quality, and helping us make informed decisions through accurate workforce information and reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
As a People Systems Specialist, you'll:
- Support managers and staff with day-to-day queries and provide guidance on our People systems.
- Help ensure our systems are running effectively and that data remains accurate, secure, and up to date.
- Produce reports, workforce information, and analytics that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Analyse, transfer, and validate data across multiple systems.
- Investigate and resolve system issues, working with colleagues and external suppliers where required.
- Support workforce planning and resource management processes, including shift patterns and working time compliance.
- Assist with system improvements, upgrades, testing, and the introduction of new functionality.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who can demonstrate a combination of the following:
- Experience working with databases, systems, or HR/workforce management applications.
- The ability to work with data, produce reports, and identify trends or insights.
- Experience analysing, manipulating, or transferring data between systems.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and practical way.
- Experience providing support or advice in a customer-focused environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
You may have gained these skills through a relevant qualification, professional experience, or a combination of both.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
While not essential, we'd welcome experience in:
- Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- Presenting data visually to support decision-making.
- HR, workforce management, resource planning, or scheduling systems such as CARM, HR Origin, Oleeo, Cority, or Chronicle.
- Working with workforce policies, working time regulations, or shift management processes.
Why Join Us?
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to:
- Develop specialist knowledge of People systems and workforce management processes.
- Contribute directly to service improvement and organisational decision-making.
- Work with a supportive team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build your skills in systems development, reporting, analytics, and customer support.
We Welcome Applications from Everyone
We recognise that people may have gained relevant skills and experience in different ways. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't feel you meet every single requirement, we would still encourage you to apply. We value potential, transferable skills, and a willingness to learn.
Candidates who have applied for the People Systems Specialist role within the last 12 months and were unsuccessful are asked not to reapply on this occasion.
