This vacancy is a regional role, advertised externally and to 7 forces. The role is open to accredited Financial Investigators to join the Yorkshire and Humber regional organised crime unit. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the work of the Regional Economic Crime Unit (RECU) in the fight against serious organised crime. In this role, you will supervise a team that undertakes a wide breadth of complex investigations including confiscation and restraint, Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 Part 5 investigations and non‑conviction based High Court Civil investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Build, collaborate with and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues from across the Regional Organised Crime Unit, the regional police forces, the National Crime Agency, HMCTS, the regional prison estate and other law enforcement partners.
- Manage performance, attendance and wellbeing of staff in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
- Work flexible hours to meet operational requirements and travel as required across the region and throughout the UK.
Qualifications:
- Accredited Financial Investigator with a full UK/European driving license.
- Experienced background in financial investigation and working in an intelligence‑led policing environment.
- Ability to engage positively with partners and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
