An opportunity has arisen to fill the role of Business Analyst in the Change Delivery team within Corporate Services at West Yorkshire Police. This is a challenging and interesting role, which provides support to the delivery of a range of strategic change across the Force. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager within Change Delivery, this is a permanent position.
Details of the role:
- The Business Analyst supports the delivery of business change projects through the application of specialist analytical, process design and data management techniques. These inform and drive the successful development and delivery of organisational improvement and transformational change at both a strategic and local level.
- They will provide professional advice, guidance and judgement to the Change Delivery Team, Senior Leaders / Project Leads across the Force in matters relating to transformational business change and continuous improvement.
- The role provides professional expertise to the Force through the application of appropriate tools and techniques in relation to organisational change projects, process consultancy, operational research, problem-solving, systems analysis, business analytics, simulation modelling, process improvement and aspects of project management.
- The Business Analyst will support the design, management and the delivery of a wide variety of change projects, ensuring complex operational research methodologies and mathematical modelling techniques are professionally employed. This will ensure that managerial decision making is robust and defensible at a corporate level, ensuring that business benefits are realised in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Force.
- They will diagnose problem situations, select and apply appropriate approaches based upon informed professional judgement and experience and be responsible for the delivery of an effective resolution that informs Senior Leaders’ decision-making.
