Are you ready to lead the fight against digital crime? The Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU) is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Digital Forensic Investigator to lead a team of Digital Forensic Investigators in delivering high-quality forensic services that support complex and high-profile investigations across the region. In this pivotal role, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and operational oversight to your team, while overseeing complex digital forensic investigations and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and evidential value of digital evidence.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Digital Forensic Investigators and provide guidance, mentorship, and operational oversight.
- Oversee complex digital forensic investigations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and evidential value of digital evidence.
- Develop and implement innovative forensic techniques to address emerging digital threats.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to support multi-disciplinary investigations.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Manage sensitive cases with discretion and integrity and lead investigations from acquisition to reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of the digital forensics field, including current tools, techniques, and legislation.
- Significant experience working in a digital forensic environment, ideally within law enforcement or a similar high-security setting.
- A relevant degree-level qualification or substantial equivalent accredited professional experience.
- Ability to manage complex digital forensic investigations from acquisition to reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Completion of core courses related to the recovery and analysis of digital evidence.
- Previous supervisory or management experience and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
