An exciting opportunity has emerged to join West Yorkshire Police as a Crime Prevention Officer based at Headquarters, Wakefield and Elland Road Headquarters, Leeds.
Responsibilities
- Support Neighbourhood, District and Force level efforts in reducing the opportunity for crime to occur, by developing sustainable solutions in areas of concern.
- Play an intricate part in our crime prevention and problem-solving strategy for the Force.
- Influence Districts in responding to local, regional, and national crime trends at an early stage.
- Reach out to other Forces for best practice that can be disseminated and acted upon at District level.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate experience in creating and delivering projects that address a number of issues.
- Ability to operate relevant computerised databases/systems.
- A basic knowledge of crime prevention tactical approaches, partnership working and problem solving is also desirable.
