West Yorkshire Police are seeking 4 x Business Support Supervisors to join our Estates and Business Services Directorate. This vacancy has been advised externally. The post is suitable for job share.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Support Team in the day-to-day delivery of a professional customer service/administrative provision, supporting multiple unique business areas across our Estate in West Yorkshire.
  • Supervise a team and demonstrate leadership by example in a customer services or administrative environment.
  • Plan and manage a varied workload, meet deadlines, and provide a comprehensive administrative support service across multiple sites.
  • Utilise good IT literacy and clear communication to provide a high level of service to customers at all levels, including Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Demonstrate effective resource management to ensure competing demands are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise competing demands, solve problems and foster improvement and efficiency.
  • No previous management experience required, but ability to supervise a team is expected.
  • Good organisational skills to enable leadership of Business Support Teams and management of a varied workload.
  • Well-developed communication skills, and health and safety knowledge.
  • Strong IT literacy; experience working with multiple sites and dispersed staff is advantageous.
