As an Organisational Assurance Officer, you’ll support West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) to assess performance, gather evidence, and identify strengths and improvements.

You’ll provide assurance across the organisation, offering insight, supporting learning, and helping ensure safe and effective services for our communities.

To support West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service by delivering assurance activity that tests performance, demonstrates compliance, and drives continuous improvement aligned to the Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), Strategic Action Plan and Fire Standards

Key Responsibilities

Working in the Service Improvement and Assurance Team you will deliver organisational assurance to evidence compliance, identify learning and drive improvement ensuring readiness for internal and external scrutiny.

  • Experience and involvement with internal and external quality assurance processes/inspection within a large organisation.
  • Experience in leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies to enhance service delivery.
  • Experience of supporting organisational change and benefits realisation to improve efficiency and align with strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and improvement framework
