As part of the continued commitment to enhance customer experience, Bradford Travel Centre, a recently developed purpose-built unit on the upper concourse of Bradford Interchange, offers a modern and welcoming environment for both our staff and visitors. We are proud to be a key part of a network of six travel centres across West Yorkshire, providing essential services to thousands of people every day.
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Travel Centre Advisor. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, where you will provide support to a diverse range of customers, ensuring their needs are met with a high level of customer service and care. You will tailor your communication methods when assisting local residents to visiting tourists, ensuring that each customer has a positive experience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Selling and issuing prepaid tickets, passes, and permits.
- Offering advice on bus and rail services.

The Role
Reporting into the Travel Centre Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- To sell and/or issue prepaid tickets, passes and permits and issue passenger information in accordance with laid down procedures.
- Provide advice for tourist and passenger information for bus and rail services.
- Be a visible and enthusiastic team member, encouraging partnership working across the organisation.
- Take a pro-active approach to participating and delivering your directorate’s objectives.

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
- Educated to GCSE level or have equivalent relevant education.
- Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
- Experience handling cash or card payments.
- Dedicated to providing high levels of customer service, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and on your own initiative.
- Experience of successfully identifying appropriate communication channels to deliver information in a customer focused environment.
