Project Officer Salary & Grade Β£36,032 per annum (pay award pending) Grade 6 Location Wellington House, Leeds / Hybrid Hours Full time 37 hours per week Tenure Permanent We currently have a vacancy for a Project Officer to join our Transport Infrastructure (Development and Construction) team. We are looking to appoint a Project Officer in the Transport Infrastructure (Development and Construction) team. This role plays a key part in supporting the Combined Authority to achieve its aim to deliver transport improvement schemes and projects. The Transport Infrastructure (Development and Construction) team leads the direct delivery of transport infrastructure projects on behalf of the Combined Authority, working closely with a range of stakeholders including district partners, statutory bodies, and private sector developers. The team have a diverse portfolio of projects which currently includes the delivery of new and upgraded bus and rail stations across the region including the delivery of the new Elland Rail Station, Huddersfield Bus Station and Dewsbury Bus Station along with infrastructure improvement schemes such as the Rail Accessibility Programme of works It is an exciting time to be joining the Mayoral Combined Authority. The Role * Reporting into the Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing project management assistance to major infrastructure transport schemes to improve transport across the region * Working with a wide range of stakeholders including project managers, senior managers, members, developers and infrastructure providers to help coordinate and assist in the delivery of projects 2 * Leading on certain aspects of project delivery such as, organising and attending public consultation / exhibitions to seek stakeholder consensus on projects * Budget planning, forecasting and reporting * Preparation of briefs, reports, press releases and communications Please review the Role Profile for more information about the responsibilities About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: * Educated to a degree level or with equivalent practical experience of working in a similar role. * Experience of working in a project delivery environment and have excellent organisation skills * Experience of working in partnership with stakeholders such as political members, suppliers, public and private organisations and residents. * Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate project risks. * Demonstrated experience as a confident and effective communicator, with the ability to tailor communication and influence or engage stakeholders in a professional setting.
