We currently have a vacancy for a Legal Services Support Officer to join our Legal & Governance Services Team. We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Administrative Support Officer to join our Legal, Governance & Compliance Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, high-performing team, providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations and accurate record-keeping of all commercial contracts entered into.

In this varied role, you will assist with recruitment activities and onboarding new starters, coordinate training, and manage financial processes such as invoice handling and maintaining budget records. To succeed, you will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Legal Business Practice Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • To provide a full and comprehensive administration service for the Legal & Governance team, including inputting data onto electronic systems/legal case management system, including confidential and sensitive legal and employee information.
  • Manage and coordinate the teams financial and budgetary records and processes, including placing orders and processing invoices for payment.
  • Providing a supporting role for dealing with contracts, such as assisting Lawyers in the sealing process of legal documents and the binding, safe and secure storage of deeds and documents.

About You:

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent experience / Qualified to NVQ level 3 Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience of undertaking general admin duties in an office environment. Experience of working as a personal assistant is desirable.
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.

Due to the nature of this role, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will be subject to relevant vetting checks at the appropriate level and any job offer will be conditional subject to successful vetting clearance. Applicants should be aware that it is not possible to make meaningful vetting enquiries in many jurisdictions outside the UK. Vetting clearance cannot therefore be granted if the applicant has not been resident in the UK for the relevant minimum period and comparable vetting enquiries cannot be made in jurisdictions where the individual has been residing. The relevant periods are three years for NPPV 1&2 and five years for NPPV3.
