Inclusive Economy Manager £49,359 per annum – Grade 9 Leeds / Hybrid Full time / Permanent – 37 hours per week Please note that the Combined Authority will consider requests for part-time working and/or job share. We currently have two vacancies for Inclusive Economy Managers to join our Health and Life Sciences team. These two roles are crucial to the development of the Health and Life Sciences ecosystem in the region. The roles will focus on working with partners and stakeholders to ensure businesses from startup, scale up and international trade are supported to grow and expand in the region. The two roles will have distinct responsibilities: Ecosystem development – The Health and Life Sciences sector in West Yorkshire benefits from Investment Zone funding to boost the HealthTech and Digital businesses in the region and this role will support the development of the cluster with stakeholders and partners. International markets – Developing the strategy for the Health and Life Sciences cluster large business and inward investment engagement including strategic relationships with DBT, OfI and local government. The Role Reporting into the Policy and Partnership Manager, your key responsibilities will include: * To lead intervention development, strategic commissioning, partnership working and engagement within your area, ensuring alignment with the Local Growth Plan, Mayoral Pledges, and other policies (your specific responsibilities will be subject to changing political priorities), developing a pipeline of interventions/investment opportunities and securing funding for activities/interventions to drive policy priorities and associated outcomes. * To convene and work closely in partnership with a range of external stakeholders (locally, regionally, nationally and internationally) to achieve demonstrable improvements against strategic objectives, developing strategically important relationships. * Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of large complex areas intended to address key priorities for the inclusive economy agenda.
