Cleaner £26,403 per annum (pay award pending) – Grade 1 Pro Rata Dewsbury Bus Station Part time / Permanent – 19 hours per week Closing date: Sunday 1 June 11:55pm Please note that the Combined Authority will consider requests for part-time working and/or job share. We currently have a vacancy for a Cleaner to join our Dewsbury Bus Station team. Are you an experienced cleaner, who strives to ensure customer satisfaction? You will play a key role in ensuring that all users of Dewsbury Bus Station experience a safe, comfortable and friendly environment. You will have high standards of customer service ensuring that all areas of the Bus Station are kept clean and tidy. The Role Reporting into the Bus Station Manager your key responsibilities will include: · To ensure that West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Bus Stations are kept clean and tidy (both internally and externally), complying with statutory legislation regarding health and safety and our cleaning standards and specifications. · To provide a visible and high standard customer service that promotes our Bus Stations as being safe, comfortable, and friendly places and that contributes to maintaining and increasing customer satisfaction. · To work a shift system which will include weekends. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: · Experienced in general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, emptying litter bins, cleaning toilets and washing facilities, dusting, damp wiping, internal/external glass cleaning. · Experienced in using cleaning machinery, including vacuum cleaners and electronic floor cleaners. · Ability to work with the Bus Station Manager to achieve a clean, healthy, and safe workplace. · Ability to be responsible for the safe use and storage of cleaning materials and use the correct personal protective equipment in accordance with the health and safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
