The predicted salary is between 29991 - 29991 £ per year.

Full Time Salary: £29,991.00 per annum (part time salary pro rata for 22.5 hour contract: £17,994.60)

Hours: 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week, including some early morning, evening and weekend work will be required (contracted hours to be agreed for the ideal candidate)

Location: Based at The Gateway, 8 – 10 Durrington Lane, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 2QG with occasional visits to West Sussex Mind’s offices in Littlehampton and Southwick.

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year rising to 27 days after 2 years (pro-rata for part-time hours)

Overview: West Sussex Mind are seeking someone who could join our friendly team and help us further develop our fundraising in support of our mental health services.

Do you have excellent interpersonal skills? Are you detail orientated and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively?

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow fundraising income through all streams of fundraising, to support our mission promoting good mental health through the provision of high quality services and through campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and understanding in West Sussex. This role is pivotal in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions in the years ahead.

The role is to lead the annual fundraising activities for West Sussex Mind including Mental Elf. To also utilise your own new and original ideas to expand our events and fundraising. This role will report to the Fundraising and Communications Manager.

The successful candidate will:

  • Identify and engage potential corporate partners by planning and creating compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to secure support for West Sussex Mind.
  • Seek networking opportunities, attending as a representative of West Sussex Mind to promote our work and our offer.
  • Maintain and develop our existing business relationships, including providing excellent stewardship.
  • Secure and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, focusing on corporate donations, sponsorship opportunities, employee fundraising, charity of the year partnerships, payroll giving and gifts in kind.
  • Develop initiatives with partners to leverage their resources in support of West Sussex Mind’s vision.
  • Plan and lead events and activities to engage corporate partners with West Sussex Mind’s strategy.
  • Track partnership performance against targets, maintaining records in the CRM system.

You could be an experienced charity fundraiser looking for a change in role or an individual with strong transferable skills looking to build your experience in this area. You will need to have excellent skills at working with a wide range of people and organisations and be creative and proactive around creating and taking community fundraising opportunities. Experience of working with and recruiting volunteers would be very helpful.

As we are a small organisation with a small fundraising and communications team, you will also need to be happy and able to both initiate and lead projects but also be involved in supporting day-to-day fundraising work and activities.
