As a Security Officer, you’ll be at the heart of safeguarding The Richmond Family, Goodwood House, and its priceless art collection, while ensuring the safety of everyone who lives, works, and visits this historic estate. What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing 24/7 security for Goodwood House and surrounding buildings
- Responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies with professionalism and care
- Conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible security presence
- Monitoring CCTV and managing communications from the control room
- Supporting estate‑wide operations, including events and emergency response
- Upholding the estate’s high standards and promoting our core values
This permanent full‑time position involves a rotating shift pattern of 42 hours per week, consisting of two day shifts, two night shifts, followed by four days off.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in a professional security role (preferred)
- SIA CCTV Operator Licence (essential); Close Protection Licence (desirable)
- First Aid at Work certificate (essential)
- A valid manual driving licence
- Strong communication, conflict management, and organisational skills
- A calm, proactive, and adaptable approach – especially under pressure
- A passion for delivering exceptional service with integrity and discretion
