The Role: We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and positive Kitchen Porter to join our busy Food Production team. You will play a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, supporting chefs, and ensuring all kitchen areas are safe, organised, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will assist across all food service areas, including preparation and service points.
- Duties include washing dishes, pots, and pans, operating dishwashers, clearing dining areas, handling deliveries, and ensuring correct storage of food items.
- You will carry out general and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, manage waste and recycling, and support basic food preparation such as vegetable prep.
- You will also follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH regulations at all times.
What We’re Looking For: We are seeking someone who can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You should have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. The role requires physical capability to lift and move items safely. A customer-focused approach is essential, and a basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: £15,936.96 per annum
- Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week on a shift basis, including weekends and bank holidays
