Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a genuinely flexible, part-time role? If you are organised, comfortable in Xero, and happy working closely with a small team, we would love to hear from you.
FrameWorks is a Film & Television equipment hire and solutions company - we rent cameras, lenses and audio equipment to clients who produce major productions such as I'm A Celebrity: Legends, Britain's Got Talent, Glastonbury Festival, the Paris Olympic Games and many more.
We are office based near Godalming, Surrey (approximately situated between Guildford, Horsham and Petersfield).
The role:
This is a part-time bookkeeping role of around 20 hours a week, and we are genuinely flexible about how those hours are arranged to suit you. They could be spread as shorter days across the week or worked over two or three longer days. If it suits you, the hours can easily fit around school drop-off and pick-up times - but equally they can be arranged however works best for your circumstances. We can also be flexible during school holidays, with working from home available.
To begin with, the role would be mostly office based so you can get to know the team and the systems, but it can become increasingly hybrid and home based over time as you settle in.
Your day to day duties would include:
- Recording customer payments
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
You would work closely with the founder, who raises invoices day to day - so part of the role is being the person who can 'translate' the accounts side and keep things clear between the business and our accountants. VAT returns and year-end are handled externally, so this is not a role that carries those responsibilities (although there is scope to take on more over time, including year-end support, if you would like to grow the role).
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Solid bookkeeping experience and confidence working in Xero
- To be well organised, accurate and comfortable working independently
- Clear, friendly communication - you will be the link between the founder and our accountants
- To be able to travel to our office (probably by car) as we are in a rural location with limited public transport.
You do not need any prior experience of the Film & TV sector - good bookkeeping translates across any industry.
The details:
- Minimum 20 hours per week, flexibly arranged to suit you. With the potential to increase.
- £17 per hour
- Hybrid working - office based to start, increasingly home based over time
- Friendly, supportive team in a well established and thriving company
- Scope to grow your hours and responsibilities over time if you wish
