Parkers Foodservice is a family-run business with over 25 years of experience supplying high-quality products across frozen, chilled, ambient, dairy, and butchery categories. We are built on long-standing customer relationships, consistent service, and a commitment to helping foodservice and hospitality businesses succeed. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven Sales / Account Manager to play a key role in expanding both our existing customer base and new business opportunities.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Sales / Account Manager to manage a portfolio of established customers while also actively identifying and converting entirely new business opportunities. This is a predominantly office-based role supported by regular customer visits to strengthen relationships, uncover opportunities, and drive growth. A key part of this role is not only developing existing accounts, but also proactively spotting new opportunities, including new customers, untapped sites, and reactivating dormant accounts. You will play a central role in growing revenue, expanding customer relationships, and helping shape the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Proactively identify and convert entirely new business opportunities across your customer base
- Reactivate dormant or inactive accounts and identify untapped revenue streams
- Build strong relationships with chefs, managers, and business owners
- Increase account value through upselling, cross‑selling, and promotional activity
- Carry out regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and uncover growth opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service and fulfilment
- Monitor account performance and take proactive action to drive growth
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets
About You
- Experience in sales, account management, or business development (foodservice/FMCG preferred)
- Strong ability to build relationships and influence decision‑makers
- A proactive mindset with a clear focus on generating and closing opportunities
- Comfortable balancing account management with new business activity
- Highly organised and commercially aware
- Strong communication skills across phone, email, and face‑to‑face
- Full UK driving licence required
- Experience in foodservice or hospitality is an advantage
