Hours: Full Time - 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with occasional weekends on a rota basis)
Work somewhere truly special. Join West Dean Gardens, a world-renowned garden set within a stunning 6,400-acre estate in the South Downs National Park. You’ll work hands-on across historic glasshouses, ornamental borders, meadows, lawns and parkland, helping care for one of the UK’s most distinctive garden landscapes. Working with Tom Brown and our experienced Gardens Team, this is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, practical gardener who takes pride in high standards and enjoys variety.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining lawns, borders, hedges and ornamental planting
- Pruning, planting, mulching and working with climbers and plants at height
- Using garden machinery including mowers, strimmers and tractors
- Supporting glasshouse and seasonal garden work
- Occasional weekend working on a rota
What we’re looking for:
- PA1 & PA6 certificates
- Experience in a professional garden environment
- A proactive, reliable team player with great attention to detail
