Responsibilities
As a Senior Finance Assistant you will provide reliable, efficient and effective flexible support to the finance team and the wider service. Your duties will include:
- Responding to client queries and providing standard information and guidance related to the service;
- Maintaining records and producing standard correspondence;
- Supporting day‑to‑day processing according to set procedures;
- Managing a shared inbox, responding to stakeholder inquiries, arranging meetings and recording discussions and decisions;
- Updating and maintaining relevant computerized records, ensuring strong documentation of decisions, actions and outcomes;
- Processing payment requisitions, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with payment policies.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Meticulous attention to detail and focus for long periods;
- High standard process execution for fund processing;
- Strong written communication skills for accurate messaging to stakeholders via email and reports;
- Confidence in performing advanced administrative tasks, including compliant processing of payment requisitions;
- Excellent time‑management, organisation and ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload;
- Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;
- Problem‑solving ability and understanding of project management, change control and reporting;
- Initiative, enthusiasm and self‑management of workload and responsibilities.
