Working Arrangements – * Full time in the office in the first month to ensure training on our systems is effective, then the expectation is that this person will be in the office for a minimum of 3 days per week for the remainder of the period – but this will be reviewed by the Energy & Data Manager on the basis of effectiveness in the role

* Analysis of varied and complex financial and utilities data to drive insight
* Supporting the Energy & Data Manager on Contract Management meetings
* Selling the Energy Management Service Level Agreement (SLA) to schools and academies
To manage existing and new contracts for a wide range of goods and services for the Council as well as providing expertise and guidance on contract management and business intelligence related issues to the Council’s network of contract managers in line with the Corporate Procurement Strategy.
To deliver a customer focused and efficient service, contributing to the Council’s objective of securing best value support services, through the effective management of a portfolio of various value contracts. Responsible for managing a portfolio of contracts including responsibility for initiating, establishing, monitoring and reviewing contracts with service providers.
Advising and supporting senior managers, senior contract officers and commissioners in the promotion of innovative contracting, through the strategic review of contracts in line with policies and agreed strategies.
To work with, train, supervise and/or mentor other contract officers/assistants, both within the team and across the Council. This will be on an ongoing basis and with regard to specific contract management tasks and/or for specific periods.
