The CCTV Operator will monitor 900+ cameras across local towns, manage alarms, and operate the council’s out‑of‑hours service. The role provides reactive and proactive monitoring to support the council’s crime and disorder reduction commitments, complying with legislation, the CCTV code of practice, and control room procedures.

What you will need:

  • CCTV SIA licence or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working in a busy control room (training will be provided).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work part of a team on a rolling four‑on, four‑off shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Shift lengths vary between 8 and 12 hours depending on the day.
  • Successful Police Vetting.
