Temporary Communications Officer

About the role:

We are looking for a communications officer to help us deliver our exciting new waste service.

We are about to see the biggest changes to waste and recycling which will impact our 80,000 households in West Suffolk.

We are looking for a confident and hardworking individual to join our team with a passion to communicate to all audiences and has a flare for creativity and campaign work. You will be a team player, have a flexible approach to work and a \’can do\’ attitude. You will ideally have a relevant professional qualification or experience in communications.

• To provide support for the planning, coordination and delivery of communications and community engagement within West Suffolk in relation to the Simpler Recycling project
• Deliver campaign work to support the implementation and successful rollout of the council\’s waste and recycling service
• Help bring communications alive using a range of methods from news releases, briefings, social media to film.
