About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and forward-thinking GP to take on the role of Clinical Lead at Rectory Road Surgery (formerly The Hollies), now under the leadership of Highlands Surgery. This is offered on 6–8 sessions per week (negotiable). This is a key leadership role supporting the ongoing development and transformation of the practice, ensuring delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient‑centred care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners and multidisciplinary team to embed strong clinical governance and drive service improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the practice Lead on clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety Support the development and delivery of high‑quality patient care services Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and leadership team at Highlands Surgery Supervise, support, and mentor clinical staff, including newly qualified GPs Contribute to practice strategy, service development, and innovation Support compliance with CQC standards and NHS contractual requirements About the Candidate To be considered for this post, you will require the following; Essential Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and license to practice Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List Significant experience in general practice Strong clinical decision‑making skills Experience in supporting or leading clinical teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high standards of patient care Desirable Previous leadership or clinical lead experience Experience in clinical governance and quality improvement Interest in service redesign and innovation Experience in teaching, mentoring, or supervision About Us Rectory Road Surgery (formerly The Hollies) is currently on an exciting improvement and transformation journey under the leadership of Highlands Surgery.
