About the Role
The Riverside Health Centre are seeking a flexible and pro-active bank Receptionist/Administrator to join their team in Manningtree.
This is a bank role to help cover annual leave, sickness, and staff training within our reception and administration team. The role is fully onsite, and our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:30. There are no fixed hours only cover as required.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients and visitors
- Care navigation and signposting patients to the appropriate service or clinician
- Answering queries from patients and external agencies
- Supporting patients with the online triage system
- Updating patient records accurately
- Processing electronic and paper correspondence
- Liaising with patients using a variety of communication methods

About the Candidate
To considered for this position you will require the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems are essential
- Ideally experience working within a busy reception or customer-facing environment
- The successful candidate will be flexible with their availability to support service needs
- Good standard of education, including Maths and English, along with experience working in a customer service role
- Previous reception experience is desirable, and experience within primary care would be beneficial, although this is not essential
- Experience using SystmOne would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a friendly, caring, and positive approach towards patients and colleagues
About Us
Riverside Health Centre cares for approximately 6,500 patients. Care is provided by three GP partners, one salaried GP, one nurse practitioner, one paramedic, two practice nurses, and two healthcare assistants.
We are a close-knit and supportive team who work collaboratively to provide the best possible care to our diverse patient population.
We also work closely with four local practices as part of the Stour Estuary Primary Care Network (PCN).
