Longfield Medical Centre is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking practice in the heart of the beautiful market town of Maldon, Essex. The number of hours and working days can be negotiated for the right candidate, with the aim of finding a pattern that works well for both you and the practice, while ensuring continuity of patient care.
As an advanced nurse practitioner, you will work autonomously within your scope of practice, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. You will play a key role within our multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while contributing to the ongoing development of services. The role offers a varied clinical workload, with opportunities to develop specialist interests and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

About the Candidate
You will:
- Be a registered nurse with current NMC registration
- Hold an advanced clinical practice qualification (or equivalent)
- Be an independent prescriber
- Have experience working autonomously within primary care
- Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team

We are a well-established, semi-rural, dispensing and GP training practice, caring for approximately 16,500 patients. Our clinical team is led by 7 experienced GP partners, with partners always on-site to provide support, advice and collaborative working. Rated Good by the CQC and consistently achieving excellent QOF outcomes, we have a stable, experienced workforce and a strong multidisciplinary team including GPs, advanced clinical practitioners, clinical pharmacists, physician assistants, paramedics, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, care coordinator, social prescriber and an excellent administrative and reception team. Our clinicians are supported by well-organised systems that enable them to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
