About the Role

Flitwick Surgery has a great opportunity for a compliance manager to join our practice management team on a part-time basis for 2 days a week, ideally working Thursday and Friday each week.

The compliance manager will ensure the practice adheres to relevant regulations and standards, both internal and external.This role requires a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to develop and implement compliance processes.

Working alongside the business manager and operations and HR manager to support all practice staff day to day, key responsibilities will include;
  • Identify compliance risks, developing and enforcing policies, conducting audits, and staying abreast of changes in regulations.
  • Coordinate all matters concerned with the quality outcome framework (QOF) and other contracts held by the practice (include Local and National DES/Enhanced Services, PCN Network DES and public health services).
  • Understand the contractual business rules.
  • Keep up to date with any changes as they are published and how they impact on patient care, practice processes and targets.
  • Monitor practice performance and take up of our services by patients in relation to national and local targets set to the practice.
  • Ensure the administration of the quality outcome framework (QOF) and other contracts held by the practice (include Local and National DES/Enhanced Services, PCN Network DES and public health services) are carried out within the Practice’s guidelines, policies and protocols.
  • Play an active role in supporting patient care by co-ordinating and ensuring long term reviews are carried out promptly.
  • Ensure that eligible patients are called in for regular reviews or services in a timely manner across the year.
  • Develop, update and maintain recall systems as well as drafting practice protocol.

About Us

Flitwick is a busy surgery, run as a partnership and serving a practice population of 14,250 patients. The clinical team consists of GPs, ANPs/minor illness nurses, a paramedic, pharmacists, practice nurses, HCAs, FCPs and a health and wellbeing coach. We are a training practice for GPs and also take part in medical research. We are part of Green Vale Health PCN.

Due to our location in Flitwick, a commuter town in rural Bedfordshire, the practice population is diverse, covering patients of all life stages. We have good links to the A6 and M1.
