About the Role
Blyth's Meadow Surgery is looking for a Prescription Clerk to join the team on a part-time basis, working 30 hours a week.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring that requests for repeat prescriptions are actioned within 5 working days. This includes checking email requests, online, paper and phone.
- Responding to all queries and requests from chemists, nursing homes and district nurses, regarding the issue of prescriptions.
- Keeping repeat prescription information up-to-date in the patient journal, such as letters and doctors' requests.
- Medicine management – liaising and discussing any enquires or queries raised by the clinical team.
- General ad hoc administration work.
- Flexibility to cover other areas when required – multi-skill mix.
- Keep up-to-date with all prescribing guidelines and protocols, relevant to the position.
About the Candidate

General practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage.

We have a really good supportive team of 4 Partners, 2 Salaried Doctors, 2 ANP's, 3 Nurses, pharmacist and 3 paramedics.
