About the Role
Derby Road Practice are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible ACP, ANP or paramedic, to join our team of 1 ANP nurse manager, 2 ANPs, 1 paramedic, 4 practice nurses, 1 immunisation nurse, 1 nursing associate and 2 HCAs.
The role is offered up to full time basis however part time hours will be considered. If you are right for us, we will make it right for you.
Over the last few years, we have developed our unique GP-PA hub a team of highly skilled care navigators and duty doctors working together to triage all incoming requests.
We use the Ask My GP online consultation service allowing us to manage our own workload with control over face-to-face appointment lengths and timings.
We have a large multi-skilled multidisciplinary team of ANPs, a paramedic, pharmacists and pharmacy tech to support the wider clinical team.
Main duties of the role:
- Provide a high-quality, cost-effective service to the patients.
- Diagnose and prescribe treatments and medication while working within defined procedures and protocols as laid down by the GPs.
- Work as part of a clinical team, with GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, mental health practitioners, practice nurses and healthcare assistants across practices in the PCN.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC
- Independent prescriber
- Post-graduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience
- Post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area
- Evidence of on-going CPD
- Advanced clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations
- Sound clinical reasoning and decision making
