Our clients who are based in Northallerton require an experienced Upholsterer.

The Role

As an Upholsterer you will work on bespoke projects supplying restaurant chains and five star venues.

You will be part of a team working with banquette/booths and fixed seating. You will be responsible for all of the production through to the finished article.

Main Duties

You’ll be responsible for:

• Upholstering frames and backs in a variety of styles
• Preparing and foaming fixed seating and frames
• Sewing leather, vinyl and other fabric
• Making templates from plans to be sewn
• Training others where possible
• Ensuring work is completed to the correct specification, quality standard and timescale
• Providing input to the daily progress meetings
• Keeping accurate records and worksheets

Key Skills & Experience

To be successful you must have:
Great attention to detail and have a practical approach.
• Demonstrable upholstery experience including deep buttoning, fluting, templating and cutting.
• Sewing skills will be an advantage.
• The ability to read a plan accurately is also important as is the ability to work to deadlines.

The ideal candidate will hold a driving licence and should have their own transport.

Payrate: £15,000 – £25,000 depending upon experience
This is a full time, permanent position.
