We are currently looking for an experienced HGV 2 Driver to join our team on a temporary basis, providing cover for a period of long-term sickness.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 Driver , ensuring deliveries are made safely, efficiently and on time. You may also be required to drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 12-tonne rigid curtainside vehicle
- Complete deliveries and collections as required
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues
- Ensure goods are transported securely
- Complete relevant delivery paperwork
- Provide excellent customer service
- Follow all relevant road safety and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid licence and entitlement to drive a 12-tonne rigid vehicle
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Experience driving curtainside vehicles would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Flexible approach to driving both HGV and 3.5-tonne vehicles
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Temporary contract: 3 August to 28 August 2026 inclusive
