Job Description:
The Logistics and Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling logistics and production within one department. The main responsibility is to ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensuring adherence to H&S policies and proper PPE usage on the shop floor
- Delivering the production plan schedule
- Maintaining health and safety measures
- Ensuring production is cost-effective (cost per bed target)
- Planning labor resources to support the production schedule
- Ensuring products are produced on time and of good quality
- Liaising with external couriers regarding logistics
- Exporting goods overseas and nationwide
- Managing 5S principles deployment
- Managing the team in line with company policies and goals
- Implementing continuous improvement ideas in the folding bed section
- Reviewing worker performance and addressing issues
- Identifying training needs for the team
Previous experience/Skills
- Proficient in implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Mechanical maintenance qualification (advantageous)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP
