I am recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled fabrication team in Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading energy providers, carrying out fabrication and welding of carbon and stainless-steel pipework and associated products within a busy workshop environment.

About the Role

Working as part of a small and dedicated fabrication team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of a variety of pipework, steel framework, supports, channels, and other engineering components. The role offers varied and interesting work, with occasional opportunities to support projects on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication of various ½” to 8” pipework, steel framework, supports, and channels
  • TIG, MMA, socket, and butt welding of carbon and stainless-steel products
  • Reading and interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, and GA drawings
  • Using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment including grinders, band saws, plasma cutters, and pillar drills
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control
  • Supporting engineering activities across the site when required
  • Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays to support site-based projects

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience within a welding and fabrication environment.
