Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Job Type: Agency contract, expected to work a minimum of 40 hours

Primary Industry: Logistics, Supply Chain

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour based on experience

Job Duties:

  • Drive HGV 2 vehicles to transport goods
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods
  • Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
  • Adhere to all relevant driving regulations and legislation
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
  • You will be required to handball your load to the back of your vehicle (sack wheels will be provided)

Required Qualifications:

  • HGV 2 driving licence
  • Valid CPC qualification and digital tacho card
  • Good driving record

Experience:

  • Ideally you will have previous experience as a HGV 2 driver; however, we will consider new passes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent driving skills
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Physically fit as handball will be required

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in logistics and supply chain

Working Conditions:

  • Driving long distances
