We're recruiting on behalf of our client in Chesterfield (S44) for a Counterbalance FLT Driver (8 Tonne)/ Machine Operative to join their busy production team. This is an excellent ongoing temporary role offering regular daytime hours and the chance to work with specialist machinery in a supportive environment.
The Role
- Operating an 8 tonne Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Moving and loading large cable drums around the production area
- Feeding cable from large mother drums onto smaller customer drums using winding machinery
- Monitoring the winding process to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Measuring and preparing cable orders accurately
- Carrying out quality checks
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Essential: Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (in-house licences accepted)
- Experience operating Counterbalance FLTs up to 8 tonnes
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environment
- Good attention to detail
- Desirable: Experience operating production or winding machinery
- Experience handling large cable drums or similar heavy products

6:30am – 4:30pm
