We're recruiting on behalf of a leading builders' merchants distribution centre in Doncaster for a Yard/FLT Operative to join their busy and hardworking team. If you enjoy hands-on work, don't mind working outdoors, and have a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (valid In-house can be accepted), this is an excellent opportunity to secure a temporary to permanent position with a well-established business.

The Role
This is a busy, physically demanding position where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in keeping the yard running efficiently, ensuring stock is safely handled and customer orders are prepared for dispatch. This role is approximately:
- 70% manual yard duties
- 30% Counterbalance FLT operation
Your Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading delivery wagons
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Moving building materials around the yard and warehouse
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised
- Carrying out general yard maintenance and housekeeping
- Working safely and following Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues to ensure daily workload is completed
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (in-house licences accepted if still valid)
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
- Happy carrying out physically demanding manual work
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good awareness of health and safety
