The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse and eCommerce function. This is a hands-on management role responsible for ensuring products are processed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard before being distributed through a variety of sales channels.

You'll oversee multiple warehouse processes including goods intake, sorting, inventory management, photography, online listings, order fulfilment and dispatch, while leading a diverse team to deliver operational and commercial targets. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident people manager who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities / People Management

  • Lead, motivate and develop Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
  • Coach team members to achieve operational and productivity targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews, investigations and disciplinary processes where required.
  • Create and maintain clear operating procedures and training materials.

Warehouse & Operational Management

  • Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure productivity and service targets are achieved.
  • Oversee goods processing, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective shift planning.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Stock & Commercial Performance

  • Manage stock movements and inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems.
  • Make informed decisions regarding stock handling, routing and processing.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Monitor quality standards to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Support the introduction of new operational processes and product categories.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor operational KPIs and productivity.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Produce reports and communicate performance updates to management.
  • Drive improvements through data-led decision making.

Health & Safety

  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
  • Complete risk assessments and maintain safe systems of work.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards remain high throughout the warehouse.
  • Support compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience managing teams within a warehouse, logistics or eCommerce environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems and stock control.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to analyse data and improve operational performance.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to lead teams through change.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working within eCommerce fulfilment.
  • Experience managing agency staff or volunteers.
  • Forklift truck experience or certification.
  • Experience implementing operational improvements or leading change initiatives.
