Are you experienced in Appeals & Disputes and confident presenting cases at Tribunal? We have an exciting opportunity for an Appeals & Disputes Specialist to join a busy Revenues & Benefits team based in Bradford.
The role
- You’ll be responsible for dealing with appeals and revisions, making decisions in line with legislation and Council policies, and preparing and presenting cases to Tribunals and other bodies.
- Deal with complex Appeals & Disputes cases
- Communicate with customers, representatives and other organisations
- Prepare reports, submissions and supporting documents
- Present cases at Court or Tribunal when required
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance
- Help improve processes and procedures
- Provide advice and support to colleagues
About you
- We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 3 years' experience in Appeals & Disputes, particularly where presenting cases at Tribunal has been a key part of the role
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy
- Confidence presenting cases and giving advice
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (Apply online only)
