In this role, you will oversee all operations at the Bodmin tooling facility and manage the Senior Leadership Team to achieve strategic goals and develop the business. You will determine and execute the site strategy in coordination with the objectives of the Global Tooling Team and Tooling Director. Responsible for analysing and improving the site performance and ensuring the culture and ethos is conducive to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Bodmin Senior Leadership Team
- Manage direct reports including the Planning and Production Manager, Engineering Manager, Health and Safety Technical Lead and Business Administrator
- Manage and provide guidance to Matrix reports including the Quality Manager, HR Manager, Technical Manager and Finance Manager
- Ensure strategic goals and objectives are set and resourced appropriately for the site and in accordance with the strategic direction set by the Global Tooling Director
- Oversee communication with external stakeholders including plants and other business functions to supply and receive information related to the Bodmin facility
- Ensure effective performance management throughout all levels of the Bodmin team
- Manage and oversee site budget and ensure that finances are monitored and controlled
- Responsible for ensuring the site is resourced appropriately with regards to personnel in order to efficiently and effectively meet business requirements
- Deputize for and support the Tooling Director
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Tooling group
- Be responsible for the provision of information with regards to tool manufacture, including accurate tool quotations and technical detail
- Support Global Tooling Group alignment and coordinate actions with other tooling sites and stakeholders
- Ensure quality meets the company’s and customers’ expectations and work with the Quality Manager to promote a quality culture
- Responsible for ensuring the site meets its commitments to maintaining its ISO 9001 accreditation for quality systems
- Responsible for ensuring a best‑in‑class workplace with regards to Health, Safety
