We currently have an opportunity for a dedicated and proactive Music Licensing Manager to join our team in London on a 12-month maternity cover role. We’re looking to hire someone who is driven, enthusiastic, social and keen to take on a role in our dynamic and fun sales team.
Role Mission:
As a maternity cover role, you will hit the ground running and continue the momentum already built by the UK sales team with a focus on building market share and contributing to WOMG’s financial growth. You will maintain existing client relationships while also identifying potential opportunities to support business development through new client relationsips.
Your role will see you efficiently manage and own your own set of key accounts within the UK and service these clients in conjunction with the UK sales team.
Key Areas of Responsibility include:
• You’ll be responsible for the daily management of your own specific set of clients assigned to you in our CRM. We will expect you to have a full comprehensive understanding of the client and their needs. You would also be expected to proactively, thoughtfully and commercially engage with your set of clients via playlists, regular e-comms, calls, client entertainment and face to face meetings whenever possible.
• Attending client meetings within London and other regions within the UK, and attending any client events hosted by West One Music Group or relevant industry networking events.
• Responding to incoming client enquiries with urgency to uncover their needs and help with their music enquiry to build client relationships, secure new business and generate more income.
• Managing the whole music process with a client from uncovering the client and their music needs, signing them up, music supervision, quote, license, and follow up.
• Managing existing annual blanket deals for your clients while also proactively looking for opportunities for other annual deals we can acquire. Providing great customer service to these companies to ensure renewal.
• Use company reports to help with your comprehensive understanding of your clients; identifying the wins and the opportunities presented with each client and tarket segment.
• You will take part in and contribute to all UK sales, marketing and ops meetings and other acivities/events.
• You will endeavour to find out and understand how your set of clients access our music and contribute to our distribution conversations and intel sharing.
• You will collaborate and regularly share your activities, intel and successes/challenges with the UK Sales Manager.
Skills Required:
• A minimum of 2 years working in the audiovisual cotent production sector
• Knowledge of MCPS/ PRS and music licensing within the UK and the complexities within this niche sector
• A proactive, driven and strategic operator with a commercial mindset
• A thorough understanding of the production music world and how it works to be able to hit the ground running
• Solid CRM experience
• Existing relationships within media production in the UK
• Ability to build new long-term relationships with clients
• Passion for music and sync
• Ability to think creatively
• Ability to travel around the UK for client visits as well as regularly visit clients in London
