  • Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of client risks, including detailed analysis of all relevant parties to loan transactions, source & use of funds, and source of wealth information to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Undertake enhanced client due diligence processes including requesting, obtaining, and verifying appropriate documentation in line with internal policies and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Review onboarding & ongoing monitoring screening notifications related to politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions lists, watchlists, and adverse media reports; **escalate** potential matches in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to first line operations staff regarding onboarding and prevention of financial crime queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the firm's systems, ensuring data integrity for audits, file reviews, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with audits, file reviews, and regulatory inspections by preparing relevant documentation and responding promptly to information requests.
  • Assist with procuring, managing, and monitoring software product providers used in the onboarding, monitoring, and financial crime prevention processes.

  • Previous relevant Financial Crime experience within a Financial Services organisation, with a focus on AML processes
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Crime regulatory context, best practices, and market norms within the UK regulated lending market.
  • Excellent practical capability in Excel, and reporting tools (e. g. Power BI, Quicksight etc.)
