About the role
To plan and deliver high quality outdoor learning and professional development sessions to young people, adults, families and businesses at Everdon Outdoor Learning Centre in a way that meets customer learning/activity aims, other customer and service needs and maximises health and wellbeing benefits. To act as team leader for the Education Rangers - developing and appraising in order to ensure they have the required skills, knowledge and support needed to carry out their roles effectively. To deputise for the Centre Manager as and when required. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. What will you be doing?
You will be working with school groups delivering a fantastic outdoor learning experience for them. Being engaging and enthusiastic on a daily basis. You will also be required to deputise for the centre manager as and when required, which could mean attending meetings, representing the centre at different events, being a key holder for the centre and responding to emergencies if required. You will be the team leader for the Education Rangers, training and developing to ensure everyone has the skills required to carry out their roles effectively. You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the Centre continues to develop and evolve.
About you
We would love you to be enthusiastic and flexible and able to work independently and think on your feet. You will need to be resilient whilst having an approachable manner. You should have knowledge of outdoor and environmental learning techniques including risk assessment writing and be up to date with all child protection and safeguarding policies. This role will include some office based work so you should have a good understanding of all Office 365 programmes particularly OneDrive & Teams.
