Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high quality outdoor learning and professional development sessions to young people, adults, families and businesses at Everdon Outdoor Learning Centre, ensuring they meet customer learning/activity aims, other customer and service needs, and maximises health and wellbeing benefits.
  • Act as team leader for the Education Rangers, developing and appraising them to ensure they have the required skills, knowledge and support needed to carry out their roles effectively.
  • Deputise for the Centre Manager as and when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Knowledge of outdoor and environmental learning techniques, including risk assessment writing.
  • Up-to-date with all child protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Good understanding of Office 365 programmes, particularly OneDrive and Teams.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, able to work independently, think on your feet, resilient and approachable.

Legal & Conditions

  • This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate.
  • The role will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
