The overall purpose of the Customer Service Centre is to maximise resolution of enquiries and information requests from customers at first point of contact. The hours of work could be either 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm.
With the objectives of:
- Providing first class customer-orientated advice and information service to the Customers and visitors to West Northamptonshire Council, at the Councils One Stop Shop/Reception areas and Contact Centre.
- To be an advocate for the delivery of service excellence across the council, and all our external partners.
- To complete administrative tasks to an acceptable standard within any deadline or targets that have been set.
- To learn all about the Council services, how it delivers business to our customers, and to understand how delivering customer excellence in challenging circumstances is critical to support the local community.
As a Trainee Customer Service Advisor at West Northamptonshire Council, you will be the welcoming face and voice for our customers, addressing their inquiries via phone, face-to-face, email and webchat with enthusiasm and accuracy. You’ll guide and inform customers about our wide range of services, passionately advocate for service excellence, and stay up-to-date to provide exceptional support. Working closely with a fantastic team, you’ll strive to exceed performance targets and make a positive impact on our local community. These roles are based in our vibrant offices in Northampton, Towcester, and Daventry.
