Southfields Care Home, rated GOOD by CQC, provides exceptional support to older persons living with dementia, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.
Located in a residential suburb in Northampton, it offers a welcoming environment where residents can enjoy an improved quality of life.
Our team of 40 staff members cares for 33 residents, creating a home-like atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, content, and well cared for.
We focus on ensuring each resident feels seen, safe, and cared for.
What will you be doing?
- Building relationships with residents\’ families or GPs to understand how to make their stay more supportive, comfortable, and stimulating.
- Assisting residents with personal care duties.
- Occasionally providing manual handling support if needed.
- Applying creams and changing dressings when required.
- Organizing and assisting with onsite social activities, including celebrating milestones and birthdays.
Full-time and part-time positions available, with days or nights shifts of 20 or 35 hours per week:
Week 1: 7:45 am – 2:45 pm; Week 2: 2:45 pm – 9:45 pm, with alternate weekends.
About you
No experience is necessary as full hands-on training and relevant certifications are provided. However, a genuine desire to make individuals feel seen and cared for is essential.
We offer a 2.5-week induction training and an additional 2-4 weeks \’Buddy scheme\’ to help you settle in gradually.
A DBS check will be conducted at WNC\’s cost.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check. It is a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
