The Brokerage Team at West Northamptonshire Council is responsible for commissioning care packages for Adult Social Care Services. These services include Residential Care, Respite Care, Community-Based Care, Supported Living, Supported Accommodation, and Support at Home, in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Council’s policies.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Brokerage Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload of referrals, which involves effective engagement and clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The role also requires close collaboration with the Team Leader, Brokerage Officers, and colleagues to ensure that service outcomes are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently across all levels via telephone, email, and face-to-face. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. This position is subject to the Council’s Part Flexible Working Policy, which requires a minimum of two days per week working from the office. This is a part-time position, offering 26 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday. Working hours can be discussed further at interview to ensure alignment with service needs and flexible working arrangements.
The salary quoted is based on a full-time schedule of 37 hours per week. Actual pay will be adjusted to reflect a 26-hour work week.
What will you be doing? The Brokerage Officer plays a key role in commissioning care packages for Adult Social Care Services, including Residential Care, Respite Care, Community-Based Care, Supported Living, Supported Accommodation, and Support at Home. To deliver these services effectively, the post holder will work with a diverse range of care providers, fostering strong professional relationships. In addition, the role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Adult Social Care teams to ensure that services are of high quality and that positive outcomes are achieved for service users.
